Golden Triangle BID turns Connecticut Avenue into an Outdoor Movie Theater

The Golden Triangle BID will turn part of Connecticut Avenue into an outdoor theater by projecting some of the most heart-warming seasonal classic films on the front of Lafayette Tower, an 11-story Louis Dreyfus glass office building, south of the Farragut West Metro Station and just two blocks from the White House. The films will help workers, tourists and commuters in the central business District celebrate the season as they shop, dine or head home. All will be entertained by some of the perennial holiday favorites.
• Monday – A Christmas Story, starring Melinda Dillon and Darren McGavin
• Tuesday – It’s a Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart and Donna Reed
• Wednesday – How the Grinch Stole Christmas, an animated film featuring narration by Boris Karloff
• Thursday – Polar Express, starring Tom Hanks and Leslie Zemeckis
• Friday – Elf, starring Will Ferrell and James Cann
