Barami at 888 17th Street NW (Corner of 17th and I Streets NW) is back open for business! A Golden Triangle mecca for fashion, Barami, fits professional women with unique outfits designed to transition from work to play.

"What makes Barami unique is really the designs," Arthur Griffith, president and owner said. "Our styles have a European influence and we do limited quantities so when a woman buys an outfit from Barami she's truly going to stand out. We have a very loyal following as a result."

"Our jackets and suiting for instance have special details to them you can't find at mass stores," Victoria Kanevsky, managing director, added.

Barami is a boutique women come to at first for the distinctive and exclusive clothing line, but they find themselves coming back not just to shop but to hang out and socialize with other clients and staff.

"We don't pressure for sales. We are happy when someone just comes in to say hi. Barami isn’t just about business relationships but personal ones too," Victoria mentioned.

"I'm like a bartender," Arthur mused. "It's really retail therapy. Someone comes in because they just got a new job, or because they just lost a job; they started a new relationship or just ended one. We are here to help them feel better whether it's about the clothes or not."

Arthur and Victoria are open to holding parties and other events in the boutique, and have partnered with nearby businesses like Equinox restaurant and non-profits to host events. "We want to bring something to the neighborhood beyond just great clothes," Arthur says.
