
Kelly Bell Band Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Tomorrow
Thursdays | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | June & July
Tomorrow marks the start of the ever-popular Golden Triangle Summer Concert series (previously called 'Sounds in the Square')! This Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. the festivities kick off with the Kelly Bell Band, some of the best entertainers around! They'll bring their unique & funky "phat blues" sound to Farragut Park for the 3rd straight year and are not to be missed! We'll be giving away prizes at the end of the show to three lucky concertgoers. Be there to enter to win one of our prizes on June 3: $100 to The Madhatter, $200 to Filene's Basement and $100 to BlackFinn American Saloon.
Also, each week you can sign up to win a VIP Picnic Package to make the concerts even more fun. We'll be giving away a six-person picnic spread at each show that includes soft drinks, sandwiches, and cookies complements of Firehook Bakery, along with picnic blankets, coolers, and VIP tickets to the DC Improv Comedy Club.

World Cup in the Golden Triangle

Buffalo Billiards will be open for all World Cup games. Doors will open a half-hour prior to the first game and all games will be shown with sound. Buffalo Billiards features more than 50 TVs including four 10-ft projection screens. They are serving breakfast and lunch daily as well as beer specials for all of the games. Stay after the games for happy hour on weekdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. featuring $2.75 Miller Lites, Bud, & Bud Lights; $3.50 Sam Adams, Killian’s Red, and rail drinks; and half-price appetizers.

Iraqi Artist at Foundry Gallery
Back by popular acclaim for a second exhibit, the Foundry Gallery is pleased to present the recent paintings of Ahmad Alkarkhi, a young Iraqi artist, from June 2 to 19 in the exhibit "Baghdad Revisited". Ahmad arrived in Washington in 2009, a refugee from Iraq and ready to make a new life in America for himself, his wife, and two young children.
